This design resulted in a short film that raises the theme of resilience of deaf-mute people in Surabaya. The goal is to make the film a means of representation and education regarding experiences of discrimination, social stigma, and their ability to adapt. The research was conducted using a practice-based research approach and qualitative methods through observation, interviews, and group discussions with the TIBA community (Bisindo and Surabaya Accessibility Team). The final work is a short film entitled Through Silence, which presents a true story about the emotional journey of deaf-mute people in facing daily challenges. This film is expected to become a space for expression for the community while raising public awareness about the importance of empathy, acceptance, and social inclusion.
