Pengaruh Jumlah Penduduk, Upah Minimum, Pertumbuhan Ekonomi dan Tingkat Pendidikan Terhadap Tingkat Pengangguran Terbuka di Kabupaten Gresik
Economic development requires an important role of the population in the process of economic implementation, but in reality, the increase in population from year to year causes an increase in the labor force. However, the increase in the number of workers or labor supply is not matched by the availability of jobs or labor demand, causing unemployment in an area. Gresik Regency is one of the regencies located in East Java Province which has a fairly dense level of economic activity. However, the high value of the open unemployment rate is one of the factors that hinder economic development in the Gresik Regency area. This study aims to determine the effect of Population, Minimum Wage, Economic Growth, and Education Level on the Open Unemployment Rate in Gresik Regency. The data used is secondary data obtained from relevant agencies, namely the central statistics agency within a period of 12 years, namely 2011 to 2022. The analysis method used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that Minimum Wage, Economic Growth has a negative effect, and the level of education has a positive effect partially has a significant influence on the level of open unemployment in Gresik Regency. Meanwhile, the total population partially does not have a significant influence on the open unemployment rate in Gresik Regency.
