Pengaruh Kompetensi dan Disiplin Kerja terhadap Kinerja Karyawan Bagian Produksi CV. Budii Jaya Mojokerto
As the times evolve into the era of globalization, organizations or companies must face intense competition to survive. The key factor in achieving a company's goals in its business activities is human resources. HR issues often relate to suboptimal performance, which becomes a barrier to achieving corporate objectives. This study aims to investigate the influence of competence and work discipline on employee performance. There were 52 production employees in the population. The saturated sampling technique was chosen due to the limited number of available population, thus the entire population was used as the sample. Data sources included a questionnaire distributed with statements rated on a 1 – 5 Likert scale indicating characteristics from strongly disagree to strongly agree, as well as company documentation such as production data, competence assessments, and attendance data. These data were processed using Smart Partial Least Square (PLS) edition 4.0 to assess validity, reliability, and hypotheses. The findings prove that employee performance is positively influenced by competence and work discipline. Competent employees facilitate the company in achieving its goals. Similarly, better performance can be achieved when employees apply higher levels of discipline.
