This research aims to determine the influence of wage variables, education level, and service sector GRDP on the level of labor absorption in Surabaya from 2008 to 2022. The research findings obtained show that the Service Sector GRDP does not have any influence on Service Sector Labor Absorption, because many large cities have adopted technological advances that have resulted in a reduction in the workforce. Therefore, the assimilation of workers in the service sector is not influenced by their level of education, because working in the service sector does not require a very high level of education. In addition, wages positively influence the absorption of workers in the service sector; therefore, an increase in wages will result in an increase in the absorption of workers in the service sector.
